Dixie and Georgie’s Puppies!

We are happy to announce Dixie delivered her puppies in the wee hours of the morning on April the 14th.  All 7 puppies are fat and healthy. Dixie is a very good mother – she is relaxed and laid back but attentive. She doesn’t get upset if the other dogs want to admire her puppies, unlike Daisy who won’t let the

Dixie Is Ready To Deliver

On April 7th Dixie had her last check up with veterinarian Dr. Burton before the puppies will be norn. She had a good bath and grooming, some bows in her hair and we were off to spend a busy day in the city!

She looked very pretty and very pregnant! I got the usual teasing from the great staff at the Dr. Burton’s office because of Dixie’s hair bows! I think she looked very pretty with her leash, collar, name tag, and bows all matching!

Dixie was a very good girl at the vet, as always, sitting nicely waiting her turn. I start training my dogs when they are young, that going to Dr. Burton’s is a positive thing, and we practice how to behave while being examined.  Dixie is in great shape, she is a little fat, which is great as she will hopefully be milking puppies any day now.

After the vet visit, we took Dixie to her favorite store, Petsmart, where we I bought Dixie a treat. She wanted the giant smoked bone, it looked like a cows femur! Sorry Dixie but that wouldn’t fit in your travel kennel! We settled on a pig’s ear.
