Wedgwood Cocker Reunion
On June 5th, Wedgwood Cockers from throughout British Columbia and Washington made the trek back to the farm for a BBQ. It was a wonderful opportunity for the dogs to play with each other and for their human families to get to know one another. We hope this will become an annual event.

Judy Arden kindly brought party favours for the dogs in the form of adorable scarves. At the request of many, she went home and made 20 Canada Flag ones in preparation for July 1st. She is charging $5 to cover her costs and Ellen can put you into contact with her if you aren’t on the Facebook group.

A huge thank you to everyone for making it out. We can’t wait for next year!
Dixie Had Puppies
Dixie (our buff female) and Georgie (brown stud) had a litter of six puppies on Saturday. The litter consists of: two blonde boys, a black & tan girl, a black & tan boy, a black male, and a black female.
There is currently a waiting list so all six puppies will be spoken for. We are very busy at the moment caring for momma and the newborns but will begin calling the waiting list (in order) next weekend. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.

Ebony (our black female) and Georgie are expecting a litter in a few weeks as well. If you are interested in being added to our waiting list for future litters, please contact Ellen at 604-615-8668.
Cocker Spaniel Breed Overview
A member of the Wedgwood Cockers family forwarded me this video by Animalist that does an incredible job of explaining what makes the Cocker spaniel breed so loveable.
Cocker Spaniels are easily identifiable by their long floppy ears, big brown eyes and wagging tails but it is their loyal ‘follow you everywhere’ personality that has people all over the world falling in love with them.

Meet The Cocker – Bruno & Karma Sanche
The Sanche family from Kimberly includes not one, but two, adorable American Cocker Spaniels from Wedgwood Cockers. Like many, they stumbled upon the Wedgwood Cockers website by accident and immediately realized they’d found something special.
“When we got to Mission and saw that Ellen’s dogs were members of her family, we knew we found the dog person we wanted to get our newest family member from” says Dale (Bruno & Karma’s human daddy). He adds that “we love being a part of the Wedgwood family, we know we can always count on Ellen”.
Their first born is Bruno, a two year from Daisy and Mac. Kathy (Bruno & Karma’s human mama) describes him as “a freckle faced blondie, who sometimes sounds like a pot bellied pig and snores just like his daddy”. Their second born, Karma, is a one year old from Ebony and Georgie whose favourite pass time is rough housing with her older brother. Luckily, Bruno is a great big brother who usually lets Karma win.
Both dogs love snuggling with their parents and running along the many trails in their community. Dales says they “feel very lucky to be a part of the Wedgwood Cocker family. We can’t imagine our lives without our kids”. The feeling is mutual; Wedgwood Cockers feels blessed that Bruno & Karma have an incredibly loving home where they are spoiled with ear scratches and belly rubs at a simple nudge of a nose.
If you are a member of the Wedgwood Cocker family that would like to gush about your cocker spaniel puppy, please let us know. We’d love to feature your furry child on the blog. If you are a prospective parent that is interested in adding an American cocker spaniel puppy to your family, please call Ellen at 604.615.8668.
Two Blonde Puppies Available
Our handsome chocolate stud Georgie and beautiful blonde Dixie welcomed the new year with a litter of puppies on January 2, 2015. All the puppies were pre-sold to families on our waiting list but unfortunately one of those families had an unexpected change of circumstances and two blonde males have suddenly become available. This is a wonderful opportunity for one or two families looking to bring a bundle of joy into their home.
Here is a lovely picture from today of them playing outside in the sun:
Both boys passed their vet inspection at Dr. Burton’s office with flying colours. They have had their first round of shots, proactive deworming and revolution treatments so they are ready to go to good homes. Please contact Ellen at 604.615.8668 if you are interested in adding an American cocker spaniel to your family. If this is not the right time for your family to bring home a puppy, consider adding your name to our waiting list to have the first pick of future litters.
Audrey’s Puppy Update
Audrey (our white & blonde female) gave birth today via c-section to four healthy cocker spaniel puppies. This was her first litter in the past two years so anyone who has been waiting for an Audrey puppy, this is your chance. The litter is fathered by our champion stud Georgie (brown male). There are three girls and one boy. We are in the process of calling out to our waiting list to notify them of the birth and expect that all the puppies will be claimed this week.
This will be Audrey’s last litter of puppies as we chose to spay her. She is young but had some unexpected complications during her c-section. Our priority is to the health of our dogs which are treasured family pets. Audrey will continue to live on the farm throughout her ‘retirement’ years, bossing around the other dogs. We will be keeping one of Audrey’s female puppies to continue her line. Stay tuned for more updates!
Due to Wedgwood Cockers high popularity, our litters regularly sell out to families on our waiting list. If you are in the market for an American cocker spaniel puppy, we highly recommend you contact us today to be added to the waiting list for future litters. We expect both Dixie and Ebony to be having litters in the Spring. Call Ellen at 604.615.8668 for more information.
Ebony & Georgie Have Puppies
On June 30th, our gorgeous black cocker spaniel Ebony and stunning brown stud Georgie had a litter of seven adorable little puppies.
Their litter consisted: one blonde girl, one blonde boy, three black boys and two black girls. Three of the seven puppies were claimed immediately by wait list families. As of this afternoon, we have one blonde boy, two black boys and one black girl still available.
If you are interested in being considered for one of these puppies, please call Ellen at 604.615.8668 for pricing. Wedgwood Cockers come with a vet check and lifetime return policy.
Wedgwood Cockers maintains a waiting list if you have a specific color/gender request. Families on our waiting list are called as soon as puppies are born to give them an opportunity to claim the pup of their choice.
Ebony is Expecting A Litter in July
First off, thank you to all the families from our waiting list that are patiently waiting for Dixie and Georgie’s puppies that were born April 14th. They will be ready to go home after June 5th. We’d love to feature all of you on our blog so please send pictures and updates. Below are some pictures taken today.
We are happy to announce that Ebony (black girl) and Georgie (brown stud) got ‘friendly’ in late April and a litter is expected in early July. There are already families lining up for these puppies so please call us if you’d like to be added to the waiting list for this litter.
As always, we are happy to take gender/color requests. In the past Ebony and Georgie have produced three colour combinations of cocker spaniel puppies: all blonde, black with tan and all black. If you are interested in learning more about our kennel and/or coming to visit our farm, please call Ellen at 604-615-8668.
Dixie and Georgie’s Puppies!
We are happy to announce Dixie delivered her puppies in the wee hours of the morning on April the 14th. All 7 puppies are fat and healthy. Dixie is a very good mother – she is relaxed and laid back but attentive. She doesn’t get upset if the other dogs want to admire her puppies, unlike Daisy who won’t let the
